“COLOUR IS THE PLACE WHERE OUR BRAIN
AND THE UNIVERSE MEET”
PAUL KLEE
After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts, my professional path has been primarily focused on the beauty and fashion industries. Paraphrasing Paul Klee, both of these fields—perhaps more than any others—operate within an unlimited spectrum of color. I feel fortunate to work in areas connected with broadly understood aesthetics.
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Graphic Design, completing my diploma from poster design, under the master supervision of Professor Mieczysław Wasilewski. For many years, I worked at the international cosmetics company AVON as an Art Director, co-creating global campaigns. I joined the company with a strong foundation in composition, color sensitivity, and design awareness. During my time there, I gained experience working within international teams and participated in photoshoots alongside top photographers and outstanding creative teams from the global fashion and beauty industries.
For approximately two years at Avon CEE, I became familiar with Eastern European markets while living and working in Moscow. This experience enriched my professional background with exposure to a different culture and a distinct approach to business. I would say it allowed me to experience the industry on an entirely different scale.
At AVON, I developed both creatively—by creating advertising campaign concepts—and technically, through graphic design work involving layout and typography. For a short period, while living in the Alps, I took a break from creative roles in large corporations and transitioned into freelance work.
A few years ago, I was invited to co-create the colourful Polish underwear brand Paloma Pink. Working within a small team of creative professionals, we developed the brand name and logo, of which I am the author. Together, we defined the brand’s tone of voice and shaped Paloma Pink’s character.
While working at Paloma Pink Underwear, I returned to my artistic roots by designing patterns and prints for lingerie and home-wear fabrics. I also art-directed photoshoots and designed look-books, posters, and social media materials.
In my creative work, I recognise no limits—except those related to budgets;) I do not restrict myself to a single technique, combine analog and digital approaches, treating AI as a tool rather than a creator. I work comfortably within structured organisations, collaborating closely with marketing and production teams to connect creative ideas with effective execution.
